Gold Coast Vet Surgery is proud to offer first class dental services and is always happy to advise on good preventative care to keep the dentist at away!! Virtually all dental treatment involves descaling and we have a high powered ultrasonic dental scaler. A full range of dental equipment, including an electric drill, is also available should extractions be necessary. Very importantly after all the cleaning, the teeth are polished with our high speed polisher to leave the tooth surface as smooth as possible to minimise future tartar accumulation. As all dental work is done under general anaesthetic, the dental suite has its own dedicated anaesthetic machine and monitoring equipment. As a lot of water is sprayed during descaling, the dental suite uses a special grid topped table allowing the water to drain away beneath the dog or cat, keeping them dry.
